LA VERGNE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man is facing a number of charges after allegedly being involved in a hit-and-run crash before driving to the La Vergne Police Department and parking in a restricted area early Sunday morning.
According to LVPD, at approximately 1:51 a.m. on Sunday, March 8, an officer announced over the radio that a vehicle had pulled up and parked behind the building. When authorities went to the back of the station, they reportedly noticed a black truck stopped in the grass within a restricted area.
Officials said the driver started flashing the vehicle’s bright lights toward law enforcement and revving the engine, “creating a potentially dangerous situation and limiting visibility.” While police positioned themselves safely throughout the parking lot, they called out commands to the driver…
