State Assemblymember Harry Bronson and state Sen. April Baskin, both from Western New York, have introduced new budget language around a rental assistance program that serves those living with HIV and AIDS.
The HIV Emergency Shelter Allowance is a public assistance program administered by the state Office Temporary & Disability Assistance (OTDA) that currently only operates in New York City; no counties outside of New York City can afford to take advantage of this program.
