Suspect pleads out in Warwick high-speed pursuit

WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — A Central Falls man accused of leading Warwick police on a high-speed chase earlier this year has received a one-year suspended sentence, with conditions.

Roberto Lopez, 45, pleaded no contest Friday to charges of eluding law enforcement, vehicle in a high-speed pursuit, driving without a license, and two counts of duty to stop for accident resulting in damage to a vehicle, court records show.
