BRIGHTON, N.Y. — Nate Salzman says he decided to challenge Brighton Town Supervisor Bill Moehle’s reelection bid in part due to differences on development.

Salzman, a current town board member, felt the approval process to build or expand was too onerous, so he went up against a party stalwart in the local Democratic endorsement process and won by 3 votes.

Moehle then decided not to primary Salzman, leaving the runway clear should no other candidates appear…
