OAK ISLAND, N.C. (WECT) – Work to repaint the Oak Island Water Tower, located at 406 Trott Street, began Monday, March 9, as part of the town’s regular maintenance schedule.
According to the Town of Oak Island, intermittent street closures and traffic interruptions are possible in the area of the tower. No full street closures are expected.
“During this time, all non-essential travel through the area should be avoided, even if no closures are in place,” officials said. “To help ensure the safety of both residents and contractors working onsite, drivers and pedestrians, especially those walking pets through the area, should use caution and remain aware of the surrounding work environment.”…
