NORTH PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) — A woman from Georgia was killed, and another woman was seriously injured, on Monday evening after a vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a concrete pole in North Palm Beach.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said that its deputies responded to a crash at around 6 p.m. along 11000 Jack Nicklaus Drive, near John D. MacArthur Beach State Park.
PBSO investigators said that a 2024 Lexus RX350 was traveling northbound and approaching a left-hand curve when, for reasons still under investigation, the driver failed to negotiate the turn. The SUV veered to the right, left the roadway, went down an embankment, and collided with a concrete utility pole.
The passenger, identified as Sara Dunham, 77, of Woodstock, Georgia, was pronounced dead at the scene by Palm Beach County Fire Rescue…
