Jefferson County Coroner’s Office trying to find family members of 2 men

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has requested the public’s help in finding family members of two men who died in the past two weeks.

William Keith Brannon, 58, was pronounced dead the morning of Feb. 24. According to the coroner’s office, the Tarrant man suddenly became unresponsive while visiting a neighbor’s residence. Brannon died in the 2700 block of Valley Road in Tarrant.

Brannon’s parents, William Charles Brannon III and Sue Brannon, have died and lived in Hope Hull. The coroner’s office stated the man may have a brother, Thomas Charles Brannon, living in the Montgomery area. Brannon previously lived in Birmingham, Decatur, Evergreen and Tampa, Florida.

Howard Ernst Edinger III, 71, was pronounced dead at UAB St. Vincent’s East Hospital on March 2. The Birmingham man suffered a medical incident while driving a vehicle, according to the coroner’s office. Edinger’s vehicle left the roadway and hit a utility poll. He died of natural causes.

Edinger was born in Iowa and attended Davenport West High School. He previously lived in Birmingham, Anniston, Oxford, Blue Mountain and Richmond, California…
