Ex-Collierville police officer accused of domestic violence resigned after arrest, department confirms

COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. — Collierville police confirmed Tuesday that a now former officer with the department “chose” to resign days after he was arrested for a domestic violence dispute with his girlfriend.

Ex-Ofc. David Haley was arrested March 2 following “an off-duty incident” in Fayette County, it was previously reported. The Collierville Police Department (CPD) launched an internal investigation, leading to Haley being placed on administrative leave.
