The Culinary Vision Behind Ichika
The culinary program at Ichika is led by chef Leo Kekoa, a well-known figure in the North Texas food scene. Kekoa, who also co-owns the acclaimed Kinzo in Frisco, is one of three master chefs leading the restaurant’s culinary program.
A native of Hawaii, Kekoa grew up around sushi through his grandfather’s restaurant before spending several years living in South Korea and Japan.
