NOPD: Suspect accused of stealing backpack with MacBook and iPad from coffee shop
According to police, the first case happened on Feb. 12 at the Bean Gallery in the 600 block of North Carrollton Avenue. The NOPD released security camera footage that shows a man walking to a chair, picking up a backpack and then walking out the door. According to police, the backpack contained someone else’s iPad and MacBook laptop.
The second case happened on March 4, at the same business. The security camera footage that police released in the second incident shows a man walking to the tip jar and grabbing a handful of money. As he tried to walk out, he was confronted by multiple store customers who tried to stop him. Police also say the man tried to steal an iPad during this second instance.
