Long before he became a familiar face reporting breaking news across the country, David Begnaud was a teenager in Lafayette trying to figure out how he would get his start in television.
It was at KLFY-TV, where Begnaud landed an entry-level position as a teen reporter, that he first crossed paths with one of Acadiana journalism’s most respected figures — Maria Placer.
