New Teacher Feature: Mathew Ramirez

Mathew Ramirez is a Nebraska College Preparatory Academy teacher teaching all grades. Ramirez was hired in May and started to work during the summer. Ramirez received the opportunity to teach NCPA because he went through the same program, which allowed him to attend UNL and get his degree in social studies. In Ramirez’s free time, he enjoys staying active by going to the gym and playing pickleball, and he likes to hang out with his loved ones. His birthday is March 20.

The class is to prepare the students for the next step of college. The class helps build math skills, study skills and note-taking skills. Then, once they fulfill our three pillars of NCPA (which is knowledge, character and commitment), after succeeding in all three of those pillars that we have for them, that’s where we offer them the scholarship to attend UNL. Once they reach that and reach the college level is when they move on to our staff, which is the second part of NCPA.”…
