Taunton Masonic lodge’s lost artifacts found after decades

A unique piece of Masonic history has been restored after more than a century, thanks to collaboration between two Massachusetts lodges.

Members of Paul Revere Lodge in Brockton and King David Lodge in Taunton recently came together to return a set of valuable Masonic tools that had been separated for decades, according to a community announcement.

The story dates back to 1873, when Sarah King, daughter of a founding member, gifted King David Lodge a set of “Three Great Lights” − the Holy Bible, Square and Compasses. These tools are symbolic in Masonry and are used in every meeting…
