Georgia Teacher Dies After Being Run Over During Prank Incident

HALL COUNTY, Georgia — A Georgia teacher died after being struck by a vehicle while confronting teenagers who were toilet-papering trees outside his home, according to local authorities.

Hall County sheriff’s officials said Jason Hughes went outside after noticing a group of teenagers placing toilet paper in trees near his property. As Hughes approached, the teens entered two vehicles in an attempt to leave the area.

Investigators said that as one of the vehicles began to drive away, Hughes tripped and fell into the roadway. He was then run over by one of the vehicles. The teenagers stopped and attempted to provide aid until emergency responders arrived. Hughes was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries…
