(WJET/WFXP)– Police in Jamestown, New York, announced they’ve made another arrest in connection with a July 2025 shooting that left one person severely injured.
Jamestown police announced on Monday that they arrested 24-year-old Ian Sanchez of Jamestown on Monday for the shooting, charging him with assault and attempted murder.

That shooting happened around 1 am on July 24, 2025, on East 2nd Street near Cheney Street, where the victim suffered several gunshot wounds and was taken to UPMC Chautauqua, then flown to UPMC Hamot.
Police arrested 24-year-old Xavier Ramos the same day as the shooting, charging him with assault and possession of a weapon, though court documents show he’s currently facing one count of assault with a firearm.
