GE Aerospace to invest $55 million in Huntsville facility, strengthening North Alabama aerospace industry

GE Aerospace plans to invest $55 million in its Huntsville-area operations as part of a larger nationwide effort to expand manufacturing capacity and strengthen the aerospace supply chain.

The investment will support new and upgraded production equipment and building improvements at the company’s Huntsville site, helping increase capacity and maintain quality as demand for aerospace components grows.

The Huntsville facility plays a key role in producing advanced materials used in modern aircraft engines. The site manufactures Hi-Nicalon Type S silicon carbide (SiC) fiber and SiC pre-preg tape, critical building blocks used to create ceramic matrix composite components.
