- Daniel Di Vonne Parsons, 25, of Douglasville, Ga., was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, and aggravated murder in connection with Jones’ death, police said
- Parsons is being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center
A security guard at a Georgia bar was shot and killed while attempting to break up a fight between a man and a woman, local police said.
Jordan Alexander Jones, 28, of Lawrenceville, Ga., was fatally shot at around 2:42 a.m. local time as he attempted to stop the fight, the Acworth Police Department said in a press release.
Upon arrival at the scene, APD officers “located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound,” per the press release. “Officers immediately began rendering aid until Cobb County Fire and Metro EMS arrived on scene. The victim was transported to Kennestone Hospital, where he later died from his injuries,” the APD added…
