March 10, 2026 – Turlock Police Department officials report that on March 7, 2026, at approximately 3:45 p.m., the
officers responded to a two-vehicle collision in the 1300 block of South Washington Road. Turlock Police officers arrived along with Turlock Fire Department and located two vehicles with significant damage.
One of the drivers, later identified as Jose Blancas, 67, of Turlock, was found pinned inside his vehicle. Turlock Fire personnel performed an extrication to remove him. Despite lifesaving efforts, Jose was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The occupants of the other vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with investigators. One individual sustained a minor injury and was transported to a local hospital for treatment…
