Pensacola man arrested for firearm possession as a convicted felon

PENSACOLA, Florida — A 37-year-old Pensacola man was arrested on a felony charge of possessing firearms and ammunition as a convicted felon, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

James Frank II was taken into custody on March 4, 2026, when FDLE agents executed a search warrant at his residence as part of a related investigation. During the search, agents found two handguns and ammunition. Frank had previously served time for a narcotics-related conviction and was released in May 2025.
