Santa Barbara County Animal Control officers seized 58 game-fowl type chickens at a rural location in unincorporated Lompoc as part of a cockfighting investigation last week, according to officials.
Information from County Health said that no-arrests were made in connection with a suspected animal abuse and illegal bird fighting investigation that saw animal control, working alongside Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office detectives and Rural Crimes deputies, serve two search warrants in the Lompoc area.
