San Joaquin County sheriffs mourn loss of dedicated K-9 Maximus

SJCSO said Maximus died on Monday and that he had worked for the department in 2013.

According to the sheriff’s office, Maximus was dedicated to protecting the people of San Joaquin County with his handler and partner.

“After years of service, Max enjoyed a well-earned retirement surrounded by the family who loved him,” the sheriff’s office said in a social media post. “He was laid to rest last night surrounded by his handler and family.”…
