SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse Mayor Sharon Owens announced Monday that the city is launching a search for a new commissioner of finance.
Diane Nastri, assistant director of accounting, has been appointed interim commissioner, effective March 4, while the city conducts the search.
The commissioner of finance serves as the city’s chief fiscal officer, overseeing revenue collection, treasury operations, accounting, debt management, payroll, financial reporting, licensing administration, and internal financial controls.
