CAMBRIDGE — Dr. Eugene Newmier of Cambridge has been named the 2026 Family Medicine Educator of the Year by the Maryland Academy of Family Physicians.
Newmier has taught medical students in a rural practice setting for nearly 30 years. Since 1997, he has mentored four to seven students annually through the Eastern Shore Area Health Education Center program.
