North Carolina first lady Anna Stein visits women’s prison for license restoration

BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C. (WLOS) — North Carolina first lady Anna Stein paid a visit to the Western Correctional Center for Women in Black Mountain to observe the Driver License Restoration Program.

Attorneys from Pisgah Legal Services and Duke University Law students met with inmates who will be released within the next year sowing them what they need to get a license if theirs was suspended.

The first lady says this can go a long way to keeping a former inmate out of prison again…
