The former Scarborough Fair bed and breakfast at 1 E. Montgomery St. in Federal Hill has been renovated into seven apartments. The redevelopment of the approximately 5,000 sq. ft. building was completed by Rich Montoni of South Peak Development.
Scarborough Fair closed in 2017. Since then, the property has had several owners and experienced multiple setbacks, including a burst pipe and a fire. Montoni acquired the property at an auction in August 2024, hoping to finally bring the large building at the prime corner of S. Charles St. and E. Montgomery St. back to life.
