Greenville, TX – Rising water along two forks of the Sabine River could lead to flooded rural roads and out-of-bank flooding across parts of North Texas beginning Wednesday as river levels surge after recent rainfall.

According to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth, the Cowleech Fork Sabine River at Greenville is expected to climb above its 14-foot flood stage late Wednesday morning, cresting near 16.8 feet Wednesday evening before falling below flood stage early Thursday.
