ST. LOUIS – Tuesday is bringing a warm up in temperatures during the day, and the evening into overnight hours will be bringing rain and thunderstorms to the area, with the potential to become severe.
The area of the greatest risk is in our northernmost edge of the viewing area, including Pike County and Green County, according to FOX 2 meteorologist Chris Higgins. This area is in a Level 3 (out of 5) risk for severe storms.
With a Level 3 risk, this brings the potential for tennis ball-sized hail, winds between 60 to 70 mph and a few strong tornadoes in the EF-2 to EF-3 range. This wave of storms will arrive to the affected zone late Tuesday afternoon into the evening, particularly between 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
