AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Our unseasonably warm temperatures will continue through Wednesday, but a cold front will bring changes Thursday into Friday. Rain is likely ahead of the front Thursday and then temperatures will drop to seasonal norms Friday. Temperatures look to warm back above normal again by the weekend.
Warm Pattern Continues Through Midweek
Well above average temperatures through Wednesday. Morning lows and afternoon highs will be 15 to 20 degrees warmer than average with highs in the middle 80s Tuesday and upper 80s Wednesday. Morning lows the next few mornings will be in the lower to middle 60s. Wednesday afternoon highs will likely flirt with records for this time of year. The record high in Augusta Wednesday is 88 set back in 1990 – the forecast high for Wednesday is 89. Pollen counts will remain high this week with the warm and mostly dry weather. It will also be getting breezy Wednesday with gusts up to 25 mph, sustained wind out of the southwest between 10-15 mph.
