Man accused of shooting East High student near library due in court Wednesday

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Nineteen-year-old Marsean Bowles is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday in connection with the shooting of an East High School student.

The shooting happened on Feb. 26 in the parking lot of the MLK Branch Library, just steps away from the school.

The student who was shot is recovering. East High School football coach Mike Bell is being credited with saving the player’s life after jumping into action when he heard the shooting. Bell has also recently received high praise from Columbus City Council for his response…
