EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Two men face felony charges after a high-speed pursuit Tuesday afternoon ended with police seizing methamphetamine, fentanyl, and multiple firearms.
The Evansville Police Department reported that 52-year-old William Hamer Jr. fled from a traffic stop in a Dodge Magnum, disregarding stop signs in a residential area. After the vehicle stopped on Grand Avenue, 28-year-old Robert Harwell was seen fleeing with a backpack and a sling bag.
Inside the vehicle and the bags carried by Harwell, officers discovered 30.2 grams of methamphetamine, nearly three grams of fentanyl, and more than 119 grams of marijuana.
