MOUNT VERNON — The Ohio Department of Natural Resources will stock rainbow trout in four north central Ohio lakes starting March 13.
According to the ODNR, the schedule of locations and directions include:
March 13 at Foundation Park in Knox County
In Mount Vernon. From State Route 229 and State Route 36 go north on Columbus Street. Turn left at Norton Street. Proceed north on Norton Street until it dead-ends in Foundation Park. The first pond on the left is stocked with rainbow trout.
March 18 at Mount Gilead Lake
From downtown Mount Gilead take State Route 95 east to the edge of town. The park is on left. Rainbow trout are stocked in the larger pond.
April 25 at Malabar Farm State Park Inn Pond
From Lucas, take Lucas Perrysville Road south toward State Route 603. Turn south (right) on State Route 603 toward Pleasant Valley Road. Turn west (right) on Pleasant Valley Road, the pond is on your left in 0.1 miles.

The Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Wildlife will release more than 80,000 rainbow trout at 93 locations beginning Wednesday, March 11.
