Fresno highway closed temporarily after reports of shots fired

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A highway in Fresno was shut down temporarily following reports of shots being fired, the California Highway Patrol said Tuesday.

CHP said that Fresno units responded to shots fired on Highway 41 near Herndon Avenue. The CHP was assisted by Fresno Police’s ShotSpotter system.

Herndon Avenue on Highway 41 was temporarily shut down while officers searched the area.
