No Escape: Fugitive Arrested After Standoff At Lakeland Mobile Home Park

LAKELAND, Fla. – A Tuesday evening warrant service at a Lakeland mobile home park ended in two arrests after the occupants initially refused to cooperate with law enforcement. On March 10, 2026, at approximately 5:30 p.m., Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrived at M&M Park, located at 5800 New Tampa Highway, to locate 60-year-old Patricia Lyn Richards.

Richards was wanted on an active warrant for violation of pretrial release. Her original charges included grand theft, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Upon arrival at the residence, deputies announced their presence but received no response. According to investigators, the sounds of a man and a woman talking could be heard coming from inside the home. Deputies spent a significant amount of time knocking on the door and shouting commands, but the occupants did not acknowledge the officers or open the door…
