GE Aerospace to invest $100M in Alabama

GE Aerospace announced a significant investment in its U.S. manufacturing sites, including a $55 million investment at its Huntsville location and $100 million across Alabama in 2026.

The $45 million investment at its Auburn facility will be put towards additive manufacturing and metal production equipment including 3D printers, advanced machining stations, and state-of-the-art inspection equipment to enable production of high-precision aircraft engine components that meet aerospace performance and quality standards.

The site manufactures some of GE Aerospace’s most advanced jet engine parts, including complex and weight optimized 3D printed metal parts and more durable turbine blades that help commercial customers safely extend the time between engine shop visits…
