NEWPORT NEWS, Va. — All southbound lanes at the Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel have reopened following a multi-vehicle crash Wednesday morning, but traffic delays are still impacting commuters.
According to the Virginia Department of Transportation, the crash happened on Interstate 664 southbound at the Monitor-Merrimac Memorial Bridge-Tunnel in Newport News earlier in the morning, forcing officials to temporarily shut down all southbound lanes while emergency crews responded.
