Thai Street Food by Chef Eddy is expanding its footprint into the Gulf Breeze area with a new location now open at 368 Gulf Breeze Parkway called Thai Street Food and Sushi, replacing the longtime tenant, Lao Ocean.
Lao Ocean had previously announced its closure in May of 2024. However, due to overwhelming customer support, they reversed their decision and wound up staying open until Feb. 28, 2026.
Now, Pensacola chef Ratchakrit Wilertthada, known as “Chef Eddy,” is taking the reins. While Wilertthada says he was approached by Lao Ocean to take over back then, he wasn’t quite ready, but now feels that the timing is right and everything is falling into place…
