Man allegedly pushes the mother of his child over custody

A Wildwood man was arrested for battery after allegedly pushing the mother of his child while dropping her off.

The mother of 42-year-old Celester Goodwin’s child heard a knock coming from the front door of her Leesburg residence around 5:25 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, according to an arrest report from the Leesburg Police Department.

As soon as she went to answer the door, she heard yelling between Goodwin and her child. She then opened the door and asked what was wrong. She tried to close the door immediately after the child walked inside, only for Goodwin to stop her, the report said.

He proceeded to force open the door and extend his chest to push her twice. He also threatened to punch her in the face if he did not get his daughter. He subsequently took their child and left in a blue-green Dodge Ram, the report said…
