Crews from Sonoma County Regional Parks have been trimming shoreline vegetation at Spring Lake Regional Park to keep the area open and accessible. The work focuses on the lagoon and lakeshore near the boat ramp and around Children’s Memorial Grove, where willows and cattails had begun to crowd benches and picnic tables.
The trimming is done outside of bird nesting season to protect wildlife. The goal is to restore lake views and improve access for fishing, wildlife watching, and relaxing along the shore while maintaining healthy habitat for local species…
