Several new businesses planned at Leland shopping center

As plans for another hotel in Leland face rejection, more commercial growth in one of Leland’s busiest shopping centers is anticipated to appear this year.

It’s no secret businesses are flocking to Leland, some experiencing more challenges in earning approvals than others. Recently, several plans have been submitted, denied and approved for the Waterford Village shopping center in Leland.

Some property proposals are waiting to be approved or built, while other commercial parcels remain on the market. With more businesses rolling in, here’s a look at what new commercial sites could soon roll out.

The Marketplace at Waterford
