Chicago – A 52-year-old teacher at a Bronzeville elementary school faced felony charges after prosecutors alleged she pushed, kicked, and restrained a 5-year-old boy during a confrontation in her classroom.[1]

On February 6, around 10:30 a.m., a teaching assistant entered the classroom at Carter G. Woodson Elementary School, located at 4414 South Evans Avenue.[1]
She observed the boy sitting at his desk coloring while other students played nearby. Laundon Hubbert, the classroom teacher, rolled her chair over, grabbed the boy’s paper, crumpled it, and stuffed it along with his crayons into a pouch on his chair.
