ST. LOUIS – Samuel Davis testified for more hours, calmly, while often directly addressing jurors. He said he did not hurt the alleged victim.
Former Northwoods police officer Davis told the jury he did drive an accused shoplifter to a field in another jurisdiction July 4, 2023. He testified, however, that he offered to take the 56-year-old man to a MetroLink stop instead and that the man declined. So, he said he said he uncuffed him and left him in the Kinloch field in the dark.
