WEST RIDGE — The popular, castle-themed playground at a Far North Side park is set to be replaced, and project leaders have finalized the replacement playground’s design.
Plans for the new playground at Indian Boundary Park, 2500 W. Lunt Ave., have been in the works for years, as the current playground — built entirely of wood — has begun deteriorating in some areas.
The new design, created by the firm Kompan, retains the castle elements that exist in the current one along with other typical playground elements, renderings from a community meeting last month show.
