A game of chance to help save dogs

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A game of chance is helping a local dog rescue save more animals.

Teddy is a three-year-old dachshund. He’s what’s known as a foster fail, fostered and then adopted by Rodger and Cherie Lacy.

But Dakota Dachshund Rescue has 58 other dogs currently in foster care, with a number making the weekly trip to Remedy Brewing Company for the Find the Queen of Hearts 50/50 drawing.

“A lot of our fosters come on Tuesday, bring their dogs and show them off. And that’s actually become almost a place where people come to meet a potential. So we’ve adopted a number of dogs just because of what we’re doing here at Remedy,” Dakota Dachshund Rescue’s Rodger Lacy said…
