STEP INSIDE: Sandy Lerner’s Ayrshire Farm in Loudoun sells for nearly $20 million

Ayrshire Farm in Upperville, owned by business titan and philanthropist Sandy Lerner for 30 years, has sold for nearly $20 million.

The prestigious estate at 21846 Trappe Road and its 17,000-square-foot manor house sold in late February. The house was built in 1912 and had been owned by Lerner, a co-founder of Cisco Systems, since 1996.

The $19.8 million sale “is among the most significant in Virginia’s history and underscores the continued demand for premier rural estates offering privacy, land stewardship, and refined country living,” states a news release announcing the sale…
