Hamilton County man sentenced after taking plea deal in 1992 murder of Tony Bledsoe

HAMILTON COUNTY, Ind — A judge sentenced a man from Arcadia after he accepted a plea agreement for his role in the 1992 murder of Tony Bledsoe.

Thomas Anderson Jr., 54, of Arcadia, was sentenced to 40 years — 30 years in prison, plus 10 years of probation — after he pleaded guilty to murder.

The judge said Anderson will get 295 days of credit for time already served, and as part of the plea agreement, Anderson also agreed to testify against Andy Emmert, a former Hamilton County town official who was arrested Feb. 12 at his home in Atlanta, Indiana, and is being held at the Hamilton County Jail on a murder charge…
