Roanoke, Ind. (WPTA) – Southwest Allen County residents recently found out that there could be a stone quarry built in the Little River Floodplain Valley.
Josh Clements loves his “little pond,” but the idea of a stone quarry being built nearby makes him nervous about what may happen to not only his pond, but his entire water supply, especially since his home still uses well water.
“To have a constant dewatering operation, which a quarry will have, is a huge concern, and it’s my biggest fear,” he said. “I have to have water, or I don’t have a home.”…
