Three people, one cat, and one dog were rescued by Jersey City firefighters from a three-alarm blaze that broke out at 154 Summit Ave. that appears to have been started by a nearby parked car.
The Jersey City Fire Department responded to 154 Summit Ave. at approximately 1:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, began public safety spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione.
Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a working fire and immediately initiated rescue operations inside the structure.
They safely rescued three people, including two that were rescued out of a window on the second floor onto a porch roof and brought to the ground by an aerial ladder, Wallace-Scalcione noted…
