BRANCH COUNTY, MI — Bill Akers was visiting friends for a game of cards when a tornado ripped through the Union City area on Friday, March 6.
That tornado would prove fatal to Akers, 63, and two of his neighbors, Penni Jo Guthrie, 65, and Keri Ann Johnson, 54 — the latter of whom had been hosting the card game with her husband Scott.
