A Southwest Florida luxury real estate firm has acquired a Punta Gorda brokerage. John R. Wood Christie’s International Real Estate, which is headquartered in Naples, closed the deal with Walker Realty Group on Feb. 27, the company says in a March 11 statement. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Leanne Walker, who founded Walker Realty Group, will remain with the firm, along with 10 other agents, the statement says. Veteran Charlotte County broker Roger Morris will lead the Punta Gorda office at 110 Sullivan St.
“By building on Walker Realty Group’s existing office and local relationships, we’re creating a strong foundation to serve buyers and sellers throughout the Punta Gorda market,” Morris says in a statement. “This marks an important step as we establish John R. Wood Christie’s International Real Estate’s presence in Charlotte County.”…
