An Allegheny County man admitted in a handwritten note to purposely starting a gas leak in 2022 that blew up his family’s home and damaged two others, court documents show.
For nearly four years, no charges were filed in the April 22, 2022, explosion that destroyed Jacob Rabb’s house on the 5000 block of Hialeah Drive in Plum.
That changed on Monday, when Rabb, 41, was charged with 25 offenses, including attempted homicide and arson. Online court records show he is being held without bail after a judge deemed him a threat to the “victim, witness or the community.”…
